ROGER KEIL in conversation with Tom Rawson

Roger Keil is a professor in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Toronto, and a leading scholar in the field of Urban Political Ecology. His research articles on “contested infrastructures” and “reconnecting the disconnected” among many others, along with his book Suburban Planet: Making the world Urban from the Outside In, throw a spotlight on the processes of suburbanisation as a #transformation driver of how we live and work in our large city regions. His work encourages us to explore the diversity of suburban forms worldwide, as well as the historical contexts, governance and infrastructures which help shape them.

JAN ANDREAS REEG in conversation with Marie Nägele & Sebastian Roth

Here we interviewed Jan Andreas Reeg on his future vision for Berlin Brandenburg in regard to the manifestations of urban consumption. As founder and managing director of rundzwei Architekten, Andreas is involved in all of the office’s projects. He is a frequent guest at universities and other institutions, lecturing on the ideas and projects of rundzwei Architekten, and is regularly invited to sit on juries of national architectural competitions. He has recently become a specialist in sustainable architecture and urban development for the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing.
