With the short film “Energy Allmende Lusatia" we confront the topic of energy production in Lusatia Brandenburg in 2040. The film focuses on how a shared historical consciousness could shape a new energy future for the region. We examine how historically intense energy production could catalyse the area into a new alternative energy landscape. How would decentralized energy production play out in the future? Based on scenarios developed over several workshops, the film illustrates potential crises for energy production in the region. A radically different future contrasts current forecasts yet could enact a largely positive change yet also create new conflicts for the region’s energy production.
